The society is used by its members to channel all challenges in the value chain to the relevant bodies. It aims to influence regulatory reforms to aid the growth of the livestock sector.

Members of the society are afforded a reliable platform to communicate with each other through newsletters, emails and other forms of communication, where they are kept up to date regarding legislative changes, price of products, disease outbreaks and other matters that would influence any part of the value chain

The society shares knowledge and experience with other members, but more importantly, the general public through various annual livestock shows, seminars and workshops.

Small holder farmers play a big role in the society in achieving its vision, and therefore members committs themselves to improve the lives of small holder farmers.
